Economic Development Data Center

           


The East Central Regional Planning Commission is the designated Economic Development District for a ten county region.  As such, East Central updates economic data and evaluates emerging trends of the regional economy.  Data collected for economic development planning documents and the comprehensive regional plan, beginning with Milestone Report 1, are now accessible via this website.

Labor Force Data:

Labor force information is an indicator of regional economic performance.  It shows if there is growth in the labor force and if people are able to find work.

Table series ED-1 (Civilian Labor Force) shows labor force data by place of residence for persons 16 and older. 

Employment by Industry:

Industry specific employment data shows which industry groups are contracting or expanding in the region.

Table series ED-2 (Non-farm Wage and Salary Employment) shows industry specific employment information.

Table series ED-3 (Employment for Private Agricultural Industries) shows agriculture and agriculture related employment information.

Employment Forecasts:

The Wisconsin Department of Revenue annually develops employment projections for all Wisconsin Metropolitan Statistical Areas.

Table Series ED-4 (Wisconsin Metropolitan Statistical Areas Employment Growth) provides MSA employment forecasts.

Wages and Income:

Wage information provides insight into industry specific rates of pay.  Personal per capita income is widely used as an indicator of economic well being.

Table Series ED-5 (Average Weekly Wages by Industry Group) shows average weekly wages for all industries.

Table Series ED-6 (State, Region and County Per Capita Income) shows personal per capita income information.
