Regional Focus Groups
Menominee County
A separate focus group was held for the Menominee County
area. This decision was taken because of the unusual circumstances of
the county and the Menominee Tribe having coterminous boundaries. The
meeting brought together individuals from both the county and tribe
representing economic, environmental and social interests, as well as
citizens. Thirteen people participated.
The groups focused their discussion exclusively on the issues and
difficulties facing the community / region. In addition the group ran
out of time and was therefore unable to discuss the top three issues in
detail.
A summary of the issues and opportunities identified by category, the
points allocated to each issue/opportunity, and the top three issues and
opportunities identified by the group is presented below.
