Our Approach to Comprehensive Planning
The East Central
Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission is developing a region-wide
framework plan for the 10 counties that it represents: Calumet, Fond du
Lac, Green Lake, Marquette, Menominee, Outagamie, Shawano, Waupaca,
Waushara, and Winnebago. The plan will address all nine elements
specified in the state legislation: issues and opportunities, economic
development, housing, transportation, community facilities,
agricultural, natural and cultural resources, land use,
intergovernmental co-operation, and implementation. Our focus is to
identify issues of regional significance and to develop policy and best
practice examples to help guide future land use decisions within the
region.
