East Central Wisconsin Economic Development District
As the Designated Economic Development District (EDD) for
the East Central Wisconsin Region (Calumet, Green Lake, Fond du Lac,
Marquette, Menominee, Outagamie, Shawano, Waupaca, Waushara, and Winnebago
Counties), the East Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission
(ECWRPC) is charged with the preparation and continuous update of a
Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) through the US
Department of Commerce—Economic Development Administration (EDA). Our
region has maintained this designation since 1984. The Commission has
recently embarked on a five-year update to its Comprehensive Economic
Development Strategy (CEDS). More detailed information on the CEDS and
CEDS process is summarized in this CEDS Summary
Sheet. Preparation of this document ensures that communities
throughout the region are eligible for EDA grant and loan programs.
